So, my question is, which driver do I need (link please), and what do I have to do to use it so that Windows setup can 'see' the hard drive?
If it matters, I am installing Windows 7 from an 8gb flash drive, and I have a second 1gb flash drive ready for the necessary driver. Also, the server itself has 6gb of DDR2 ram, and 2 3.2ghz zeon processors.
Have the above server (got it for free) with the PERC 4e/Di raid controller inside (according to dell's site). I've downloaded the drivers to a floppy. The Windows Server 2003 Install disk recognizes the fact these disks exist and that the drivers on the floppy are newer. Sep 18, 2009 - I cannot seem to find a driver for the PERC 4/dc SCSI controller I have. I don't have a PowerEdge 2900, but I do have a PowerEdge 2850. However, I was able to download the Windows 2003 x64 driver from support.dell.com. I could not get the raid array seen no matter how many drivers I tried.
Hi experts,Dell Poweredge 2850 Raid Controller Drivers
Im completely new to servers so please bear with me.
Ive purchased a refurbished Dell PowerEdge 2850 server that has 4 ultra 320 scsi 10k hard drives. 2 x 73gb and 2 x 146gb respectively.
I aim to install server 2003 standard on this server (with an aim to learning) - ive looked all over the internet for documentation and have found quite a lot, but some of it is quite confusing.
Raid Controller Driver Windows 7
What im after (as ive already attempted to set up raid 1 and raid 5 and failed) is a step by step guide to achieving a raid array. I would like to have the o/s, server 2003, in its own separate partition if possible.
Any help greatfully received.
regards and thanks
